XCO VRTOJBA 2024 - UCI C1 class MTB race, 24.3.2024

Classification

XCO Vrtojba is the first Slovenian SloXcup race of the season, classified as a UCI Class 1 for elite and junior categories.

IMPORTANT! According to SloXcup regulations "clipless" (SPD) pedals are not allowed in categories U7, U9, U11!

Starting fee and payment

35,00 EUR – ELITE, U23, u19
30,00 EUR – Amateurs, masters
10,00 EUR – U7, U9,U11, U13, U15, U17

EUR 5,00 – Surcharge for registration on the day of the competition (all categories)

According to the UCI rules race entry fees for events on the international calendar are waived for riders, belonging to a UCI Elite MTB Team.

Payment of the entry fee on the day of the event.

UCI C1 points will be assigned for the following categories

Elite men (open: elite + u23)
Elite women (open: elite + u23)
JUNIOR men 
JUNIOR women

Registrations are also possible on day of event.

Pre-registrations are accepted until THURSDAY 21.3.2024 until 24:00 

Registration office is in  Youth center Vrtojba, Ul. 9. septembra 72, Vrtojba.

The track

Child lap: 500m
SL (short lap) is approximately 2 kilometres long with 70 meters of elevation gain.
The technical demanding is moderate.

SL U15 (short lap U15 version) is approximately 2.3 kilometres long with 85 meters of elevation gain.
The lap is the same as the short lap only that it also includes 1 forest of the big lap.
The technical demanding is moderate.

BL (big lap) is approximately 4,2 kilometres long with 150 meters of elevation gain.
The technical demanding is moderate.
Exact number of laps will be decided before start. It depends of track condition and weather.
Terrain configuration: 5 % tarmac, 30 % forest roads, 20 % gravel, 45 % vineyards

Start lap is approximately 3 kilometres long with 100 meters of elevation gain.

Prizes

Money prize fund according to rulebook of national and international cycling federations.

Other categories
Practical prizes for first five in each category.

Other

• In case of bad weather conditions the number of laps may be changed on the day of competition.
• On the day of the event, team managers must pay the registratioin fee for all registered riders, including those not attending the race.
• Start number pick-up is managed by team managers for the whole team, upon submission of riders licences. By payment of starting fee, rider is agrees with terms of this tender and accepts his responsibility. (Parents or overaged person, signed on application form are responsible fo underaged riders.) Application form is published on race website.
• Warm-up on race track is prohibited on race day, after 10:15  am and will be sanctioned.
• The use of protective helmet is mandatory. UCI rules and regulations of KZS-OKG must be respected. Complaints will be accepted by race jury head judge, until 15 minutes after finish of the race, upon payment of the deposit.
• The organiser is not responsible fo consequences riders may cause to himself, other racers or third party.
• The organiser reserves his right to change this tender, obout which, riders will be promptly notified.
